Burien

Since its incorporation in 1993, Burien, a 100-year old community with a rich heritage, has been busy designing and redesigning itself as a vibrant King County city. Burien residents see their city as a friendly community with well-established neighborhoods and small town atmosphere. Most Burien neighborhoods were agricultural during the early decades of settlement, but beach communities like Seahurst Park on Puget Sound, and Lake Burien’s shoreline, became summer destinations for many Seattleites in the first decades of the twentieth century.

Burien is conveniently located just minutes away from SeaTac airport and the Southcenter Mall. It is a short drive into downtown Seattle and has easy access to I-5, I-405, Hwy 99 and Hwy 509.

It boasts of beautiful community parks and many neighborhoods have great views of the Puget Sound. Seahurst Park offers a saltwater beach, picnic shelters, a play area and several nature trails for walks with family and pets.
