Lake Tapps

Lake Tapps is a community in Pierce County, Washington, surrounded by the city of Bonney Lake to the south, Auburn to the north, Buckley to the east and Sumner and Highway 167 to the west. At the heart of the community is the man-made lake created more than 100 years ago to generate hydroelectric power. No longer used to generate electricity, the once rural lake is now lined with waterfront homes and flanked by planned communities. Lake Tapps provides opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing and other recreational activities made picture-perfect with the stunning backdrop of Mt. Rainier views.

In addition to recreational opportunities, residents of the area value its access to all the amenities the nearby larger cities have to offer within a few minutes travel time, while providing a peaceful family-friendly neighborhood oasis. Lake Tapps is conveniently situated approximately an hour drive from Seattle, and a half hour drive to Tacoma. It has easy access to I-5, Highway 167 and the Sounder Train station. This idyllic community is a great place to work, play and call home.
